Technical excellence in RES design

Smart Grid, advanced networks, new connection requirements — the energy sector is transforming. Adriatic OIE is a platform for knowledge exchange and technical development in the Zadar region.

Engineers and Smart Grid

The digitalisation of the power system is bringing fundamental changes to how we design and integrate renewable sources. The Smart Grid pilot project in Zadar County is setting new standards for connecting distributed energy sources, requiring continuous development of technical competencies.

Adriatic OIE organises specialised technical symposia aimed exclusively at engineers and project designers. Topics include new HEP ODS grid connection requirements, battery storage system sizing, EV charger integration into existing infrastructure, and self-consumption optimisation for complex systems.

Our approach is specific: we don't deal in equipment manufacturer sales pitches, but in technical details from real practice. Every speaker at our events is an active practitioner — an engineer who works daily on designing, building, or maintaining renewable energy systems in the region. Presentations include real case studies from Zadar County with concrete system performance data.

Additionally, we are building a technical knowledge base specific to local conditions — from irradiance data by micro-location, to experiences with grid inverters in coastal environments, to best-practice solutions for island systems with limited grid infrastructure.
